The Coachella Valley’s only semi-pro football team, the defending league champions, the Desert Chiefs are back for the 2013 season.
It’s been a while since our last update, but we’ve been keeping busy…
The site was looking a little meh, so we’ve made a few change. Look at those fantastic photos from around the Coachella Valley! Beautiful, right? Made some aesthetic changes to the Films page, so feel free to check it out and watch our videos while you’re at it.
One Year Anniversary
Miles and Monroe is coming up on it’s official one year mark. Might have a couple of plans being discussed, but we’ll see what happens. Regardless, we’ll make sure to remind you guys. After all, it’s thanks to all your support that we’ve been able to stick around.
Alright, site updates and anniversaries are boring. How about something more interesting?
We’ve been working with some friends on a project and we’re happy to announce our partnership with Coachella Underground!
What in the world is Coachella Underground? It’s an art movement initiative here in the Valley. There’s art all around – and artists of all sorts – and the aim is to help all those artists #breakthrough to the top, where they can showcase their talents.
As partners with Coachella Underground, we’ve already had the privilege of working with some talented musicians and photographers.
The first Artist Spotlight is already up at Coachella Underground, featuring Sovereign Joe, a young hip-hop artist from Indio, CA. Go check it out.
Desert Chiefs football
It’s almost football season and the Coachella Valley’s one and only semi-pro football team the Desert Chiefs are gearing up for another great season. And we’ll be at every game, catching all the action.
We’re currently working on a commercial for the team, so be on the look out for that.
Miles and Monroe has been staying busy, and we love it. Never enough to do. Make sure you’re following us on Facebook, Twitter, and Tumblr to stay up-to-date with us. We really appreciate connecting with you guys, so give us a shout out sometime.
Miles and Monroe has had the pleasure of working with the Coachella Valley’s only semi-pro football team The Desert Chiefs. Not only were we able to follow the team on their undefeated journey to the Championship, but we were made to feel a part of the team.
As a new company, we lucked out getting this opportunity, but we proved ourselves out on the field just like the guys.
We’re proud and honored to have our hard work recognized by the team at their awards gala. We look forward to next season!
We’ve been a bit quiet lately, but we wanted to let you know we’ve been working on some neat projects.
In case you missed it, we’ve added a page for our current projects, you can check it out here. If you’re interested in working with us, you can contact us here or email us at MilesandMonroe@gmail.com.
Here’s what we’ve been up to lately:
+ We’re working on editing a home movie for a client. Really neat perspective footage from a motorcycle set to some classic rock tunes.
+ Still filming for the Desert Chiefs semi-pro football team. They’re now 6-0!
+ Jonathan is working hard on a business plan to help Miles and Monroe get the proper gear for even better films and projects!
+ Currently editing a new project about the Coachella Valley. Here’s a sneak peek at the great storyboard that Marrichrist doodled up.
We’re out and about, and working hard on some great stuff. Can’t wait for you guys to see it!
The Desert Chiefs advanced their record to 3-0 after defeating the Long Beach Spartans on Saturday, Sept. 7. If you missed the game, Miles and Monroe was on hand to catch all the highlights.

The Miles and Monroe crew went out to film the Desert Chiefs in their second game of the season. We were able to get up close to the game this time and got some good footage. Here’s a few photos we got of the guys right after scoring a touchdown and the two teams huddled together after the game.
Final game score: DC 13, Visitors 12.
The Desert Chiefs are a semi-pro football team based out of the Coachella Valley in southern California.
